With respect to record SG-064: William MacFarlane In memory of his sister Mary MacFarlane, etc. The transcription reads that the father, John MacFarlane, died 1 Aug.1821 and mother, Cath.ne MacFarlane died 3 Aug. 1811.
From the Keith Dash website of Tiree genealogy (censuses, birth records, etc.), I do find some children born to a John McFarlane and Catharene (Cath) McFarlane, including Mary whose death is listed above. I believe the transcription on Catharene’s death should perhaps read later than 1811; perhaps on or after 1820. (In the Excel spreadsheet, I find Duncan, Mary, Donald and John all born to John & Catharene or Cath. The last I find listed, John, was born in 1820. The memorial marker does not list a Duncan or Donald but I don’t believe that discounts what I’m saying as perhaps, for example, these boys did not survive for long.
